UC Davis has launched the Mandatory Employee Training Compliance Program, requiring all employees to complete assigned training by their individual deadlines, beginning with enforcement of the UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals training course on July 1. A promising discovery by Professor Johan Leveau, Department of Plant Pathology, has lead to a new law allowing commercialization of research conducted in California's state parks. Professor Leveau discovered a microbe, Cal35, that, when paired with another microbe, is an effective treatment against tomato wilt and possibly other fungal diseases.
