Effective July 1, 2019, the Negotiated Salary Trial Program (NSTP) will be available strictly to the College of Biological Sciences (CBS) and the College of Engineering (COE).
Background on NSTP at UC Davis
The NSTP was created to help diminish the gap between the salary scales and remuneration offered at other academic institutions and at the private sector. It was initially offered in June 2013 to three campuses (UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, and UC San Diego). After a four-year Phase 1 trial period, an additional four-year Phase 2 trial period was approved to begin July 1, 2018, and end on June 30, 2022. Other campuses have since adopted NSTP. UC Davis is participating in Phase 2, effective July 1, 2019.
