New Chair Workshop & Department Chair Bag Lunch Series

New Chair/Director Workshop

Academic Affairs offers a two-day, mandatory session for newly appointed department chairs and directors. This training is typically held immediately before the start of Fall Quarter each academic year.  The goal of the workshop is to provide chairs with key information and resources to assist them in their new roles. The session also allows chairs and directors the opportunity to interact with counterparts in other departments and programs.  Vice Chairs and returning chairs are also welcome to attend to share their experiences and add perspectives to the dialogue. Each year Academic Affairs updates this workshop to make it useful and practical for the chairs and vice chairs in attendance.  A complimentary continental breakfast and catered lunch are provided.
